Welcome to our space!

A collective space

Our space is always shifting and flourishing depending on the needs and the whims of our community, which is one of the things that makes us special.

A DIY space

Every piece of fabric, yarn, toys, furniture, tools, and supplies is donated, built, and shared by our community and our own team members.

What to expect

Being a member means you are part of our team, and we will transform and care for the space together with respect and kindness for one another. View our community guidelines.

What is no-working?

c

Mutual Support

We believe collaboration is better than competition. We lift each other up because it is everyone's best path forward.

m

Shared Resources

We believe unused space and tools are a failure of organization. We share and borrow to be efficient.

f

Community Space

We believe connecting with others directly is essential for disrupting isolating systems. We create spaces and excuses for bonding.

a

Radical Education

We believe learning should make us more capable, not more obedient. We  investigate the world and learn from each other.

Take your time.

We hope to create a community in which we are fueled and motivated by the experience of being alive - not coerced into labor to prove we deserve it.

While “working” might be part of that process for some, we don’t abstractly value it over healing, over learning, over personal growth or community building. We do not value it over resting. We refuse to put “work” above anyone - including ourselves.

So, come in!

Ask for what you need and give up what you don’t.

Be yourself, do your best,

Take your time.

“Wow! Wow!! I'm just in love with this place, which really means I'm in love with the ephemera, the details, the craingly and chaotically placed pieces of paper and pendants that weave a lot love and a lotta care into this place. A space that tells me to take my time. Oh how I wanted to hear that. And not just to take my time, but to take it back."

FAQs

What time will the space be open?

Our space is open from Monday to Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM for co-working. We tend to have workshops or other gatherings in the space on weekday evenings or weekends. If the space is available otherwise, feel free to let us know if you want to come in!

Is there parking?

We don't have in-building parking, but there is usually street parking available around the space.

I can't afford the membership but want to come in/support.

No problem, we'd love to have you here! You are welcome to volunteer with us for 4 hours/month to get the membership status. This can range from watching over the space, helping us tidy up, hosting workshops, or whatever skills you would like to offer.

What can I do in the space?

Work, read, study, do arts and crafts, meet up with friends, and so on, as long as it is not disruptive to other people around you.  You can also go into one of our offices for a call if needed. View our Community Guidelines for more details.
