Our Community Guidelines
We don't like telling people what to do; indeed, that goes against the very thing we stand for.
However, we are aware of the importance of setting boundaries and expectations while sharing this space with other people.
A lot of the time, it has more to do with our own capacity to accommodate everyone with what we are working with, and not about what you deserve.
Spend some time reading through our Community Guidelines, and know that these will always evolve and change for the better.
Respect the space and the people in it
-
Be kind, considerate, and aware of shared space.
-
No harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or aggressive behavior.
-
Ask before photographing or recording people.
-
Give people space to focus, rest, or exist quietly.
Keep noise at a reasonable level
-
Headphones for calls, videos, and music.
-
Take longer meetings or loud conversations in one of our offices or outside when possible.
-
Some days are more social than others; read the room and adjust accordingly.
Clean up after yourself
-
Return shared supplies, dishes, books, and tools after use.
-
Wipe tables, clean your dishes, and throw away garbage/recycling.
-
Don’t leave personal items overnight unless discussed beforehand.
-
Tidy up any project you were working on and return the space to its original state.
Shared resources = shared responsibility
-
Use supplies thoughtfully so everyone can access them.
-
Report broken equipment or low supplies instead of quietly abandoning the problem like a raccoon in a rented apartment.
Be mindful with food & drinks
-
Label anything left in shared storage.
-
Don’t take food or supplies that aren’t yours.
-
Strong smells travel further than you think. You can eat in the kitchen, our offices, or outside in the back alleyway.
Accessibility & care
-
Help keep pathways, entrances, and common areas usable for everyone.
-
If someone looks uncomfortable or needs support, check in respectfully when appropriate.
Consent & boundaries matter
-
Not everyone is here to socialize.
-
Don’t pressure people into conversations, collaborations, substances, or events.
-
Respect “no,” disengagement, and personal boundaries.
If issues come up
-
Talk to a team member if something feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or unresolved.
-
We aim for accountability, communication, and repair whenever possible.
