Exhibit Launch: VALUE ME

Value Me is an exhibition that asks how we decide what is meaningful and why. Each artist was invited to choose works that hold the most personal significance, rather than pieces that might be considered marketable, polished, or traditionally successful. By showcasing what artists value most as the core theme of the exhibition, this show challenges the capitalist idea that worth is defined by price, rarity, or perfection. Many of the items in this exhibition are influenced by nostalgia for childhood and reflect the things we hold onto from birth, before we learn how value is decided. Influenced by Arte Povera and the art of upcycling, Value Me highlights artworks that are often ignored or undervalued, encouraging viewers to reflect on how they assign worth in their own lives.
