"Figurative painting has been a throughline of my studio practice for many years. I enjoy twisting and exaggerating the human body to fit the confines of the canvas, especially with such a vibrant medium. Inspired by Alice Neel, John Woodrow Wilson, and Fayum mummy portraits, I aim to push the intensity and warmth, both in hue and flesh, of my paintings."
